Lums Pond is a State Park located in Northern Delaware, offering wonderful outdoor recreation as well as some of the most beautiful scenery Bear has to offer. Regardless if you are looking to hike, bike, walk or run, Lums Pond State Park has something for anyone looking for an outdoor adventure. We will be celebrating Delaware's beautiful trails and parks, by creating a race for trail runners of all abilities. As a special touch, this race is fully age graded, so every runner, regardless of gender or age can win the race, which we accomplish by applying a special formula, insuring an even playing field for all runners.

Bib Pickup:

There will be no expo. Bibs and swag pickup on raceday only.

Course: 

The course is a mix of 70% single track, 10% gravel and 20% wider trails. T he course features little elevation, a lot of flat section mixed with a few rolling trails.
As of now, we will utilize Swamp Forest Trail (yellow on the map). Small adjustment might be needed to avoid wet trail sections and to get the exact distances.

Refund policy:

Refunds will be processed up to 30 days prior to race day.

No refunds or deferrals after. Refund is entry fee minus $10. Please mail a self-addressed stamped envelope to:

We reserve the right to cancel or postpone the race due to weather, acts of God or other reasons outside of the control of Uberendurancesports. No unauthorized bib transfers, please contact Rd at Stephanweiss@comcast.net to find out if and how you can transfer your bib.




Awards:

Runners will receive an awesome custom German made Finisher medal
Top 10 overall for Lone Wolf, 24KM and 12 KM (gender and age graded, no age groups, more info to follow)

Time Limit:

All runners have to finish before 7:30PM, which makes all the distances hiker friendly. Must start final lap by 6PM. Headlamp required.

Weather:

The average temp at the start is typically around 45 degrees. Average high mid Oct is around 60 degrees.


Timing:

This race is chip timed by 2Lraceservices. There will be a live results link on our website, so you can check your time and placement shortly after you are crossing the finish line. Your result will be listed on ultrasignup as well, and will be part of your ultrasignup rank. Keep your bib visible on front at all times, do not fold your bib to protect the timing chip. You have to finish the distance you signed up for , you can not drop to a shorter distance during the race. Please note, this race is unique due to the use of a age&gender based multiplier, so your order of finish will be different than your final ranking, once multiplier is applied.



Aid Stations:


Aid station are spaced between 3 and 4 miles apart. Main aid station is at the Start /Finish and 2nd Aidstation is at mile 4.

Trail runners usually carry a bottle to keep hydrated between aid stations. Gatorade and water will be available at all the aid stations. There will be the usual trail fare and carbs to keep you fueled at the race (bring your own gels, if you rely on them).



Post Race Party:


Post race buffet all day long. Plenty of picknick tables at start/finish, if you ran the 24KM or 12KM, stay a while and cheer for the 12 hour runners.
